Huggable Instrument
Conceptual Design - 6 week

A huggable instrument that physically comforts the user in the same way that music offers audible therapy. The different components are based on research on the construction of guitars, harps, and zithers. The result is a sturdy instrument that offers a deep, calming strum and a resounding, hollow drum and a comfortable partner for the arms.

Assignment:
Create a wooden instrument and exercise woodworking techniques in the process.

Standard guitar tuning pins
Lower octave harp strings

This project will be updated with a video of the instrument being played.
